Your first folder
Orqa Note is file-system-first. This is the five-second tour.
Open a folder
On first launch you'll see a welcome screen. Click Open Folder… and pick any directory on your Mac. That folder is now your workspace.
Under the hood, nothing moved. The folder still lives exactly where it was. Orqa Note just opens a window onto it.

Sidebar = Finder
The left sidebar is a 1:1 mirror of your folder. Create a file in Finder, it appears in the sidebar. Rename it in Orqa Note, it renames on disk.
- Supported file types get a typed icon and open in the right editor.
- Unknown file types still appear (greyed) and open in the system default app on double-click.
- Right-click any file or folder for New File, New Folder, Rename, Delete, Reveal in Finder, Copy Path.
Switch folders
⌘Oopens the folder picker to switch workspaces.- The recent workspaces list is on the welcome screen and under File → Open Recent.
- You can open the same folder from Finder at any time — Orqa Note remembers which tabs you had open.
Quick search
⌘K opens fuzzy search across every file and bookmark in the current workspace. It searches names, not contents — for content search, open the file first, then ⌘F.
